Comedy Driving Inc. offers a Defensive Driving Retreat Texas course for those who might have recently received a moving violation while traveling through Retreat or were commuting into Corsicana.

Interesting note, the town of Retreat, when founded in the 1840’s, was originally called Beeman’s School House after the log schoolhouse that also doubled the town’s church. The name change came a few years down the road when townsfolk suggested Retreat as a new name for the town, and it stuck. Like many other towns, it saw a decrease in population during and after World War I & II, but in recent years the population has grown again; this is mostly due to its proximity to the City of Corsicana.
