TDLR Approved Defensive Driving

Comedy driving has been approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to provide defensive driving courses in the state of Texas. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation is the current governing body that approves defensive driving courses in Texas for ticket dismissal.

The TDLR was originally founded in 1909 under the name Texas Bureau of Labor Statistics. It was later changed to the Texas Deparment of Licensing and Regulation in 1989. On September 1st, 2015 the TDLR took over as the governing body for driving safety courses, also known as Defensive Driving Courses.

The previous governing body was the Texas Education Agency, also known as the TEA. Comedy Driving was also approved by the TEA to teach defensive driving in Texas.
